The pottery I make is for everyday use — mugs, bowls, teapots, pitchers, etc. — the usual suspects. I also make vessels for the Japanese tea ceremony such as chawans (tea bowls) and mizusashis (water containers).
I use stoneware and porcelain clays, prefer semi-matt and earth tone glazes, and fire in a gas kiln. For the most part, each piece is individually thrown on a potter's wheel.
